Have you ever checked out the Super eggplant blog? Well, this is the person who made up the Java-a-go-go coffee cup sleeve. She also sews some awefully cute stuff and I just HAD to go to J-town and check out the Kinokuniya Bookstore and see what the Japanese Sewing book offerings were.

I didn't find the book she has, but I found a couple others. Of course, I can't read Japanese, but I decided it is still fun to have the ideas and pretend I could pull some of this stuff off! Unfortunately, I think that i'm supposed to be good at pattern drafting in order to execute alot of the lovely fashions shown in these books/magazines. And no, I have yet to acquire pattern-drafting skills beyond the simplest ones I've done for quilting...

And how about the cute purse?!
